On April 21, 1946, Mrs. Lucretia Fleagle transferred the deed of the land of the Lake Carroll Cemetery to the Lake Magdalene United Brethren Church. A fund was set up at that time for perpetual care of the cemetery. No change in the name of the cemetery was made. Additional land adjourning the cemetery on the North was obtained for future use of the church and its friends. In 1968, the Lake Magdalene United Brethren Church changed its name to the Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church. There is no history prior to 1946 other than it was under the care of the Baptist Church.
